The Delta State University Medical School Alumni Association (DUMSAA) is gearing up for its landmark Annual General Meeting (AGM), a week-long virtual event culminating in a grand finale on December 21, 2025, at 7 PM GMT+1. This year’s theme, “The Heartbeat of Leadership: Medicine, Mentorship & Mobilization,” sets the tone for a dynamic series of engagements aimed at redefining leadership within the medical community.

Hosted via Zoom, the AGM will feature keynote sessions, interactive panels, and networking opportunities. The grand finale will be anchored by Dr. Kennedy Obohwemu, Interim Board Chairman of DUMSAA, and will include a keynote address by Professor Ejiroghene M. Umuerri, a respected voice in medical education and mentorship.

A major highlight of the AGM is the election of the first-ever DUMSAA Executive Committee, a historic milestone for the association. Alumni members from across the globe are eligible to vote and be voted for, provided they meet the criteria outlined in the DUMSAA Constitution.
